A pioneering mattress, which replicates the body’s natural movements helping to eliminate pressure injuries and provide ultimate patient comfort and safety, is being launched at Arab Health 2015 by UK-based Rober.
It is estimated that pressure ulcers dramatically increase the cost of each patient’s care bill and are also linked to prolonged hospitalisation, pain, social isolation and in worst cases, death.
To combat this problem and offer Middle Eastern hospitals a cost saving solution, zero pressure specialists Rober have created Airflex® Trio – a pioneering mattress being unveiled for the first time in January.
Airflex® Trio uses a clinically proven three-cell cycle which responds to a patient’s weight, spontaneous movement pattern and body position, providing enhanced comfort and complete pressure elimination at regular intervals.
The ‘wave-like ripple effect’ allows the body weight of the patient to be distributed evenly creating a soft, comfortable but stable surface that doesn’t compromise on clinical outcomes.
The easy to operate mattress has been designed with patient and carer safety in mind and offers a therapeutic effect that promotes accelerated wound healing. It offers medical staff what they need in order to be able to fully support their patients.
It is an effective and proven solution in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers and can be used in all every day nursing and care environments.
Rober are leaders in the development and manufacture of pressure ulcer prevention and therapy product rangesand this new pioneering technology compliments their existing portfolio of products. The Airflex® Trio is the first of a new generation of mattresses to be launched, which through innovated design fulfils the requirement in the market for ‘affordable healthcare’.
Mike Hutson, Chief Executive of Rober, said: “We are extremely excited to be able to showcase our new Airflex® Trio mattress in the Middle East for the first time. It has been designed and manufactured to the highest standards and has the potential to prevent thousands of patients across the Middle East from getting pressure ulcers as they are cared for in hospital.
“Arab Health is an ideal place for us to launch this new and exciting product and I am looking forward to speaking to potential new international customers and distributors at the exhibition.”
Arab Health will take place between the 26 – 29th January 2015 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre. Rober will be located at Stand Z1C18 in the Zabeel Hall.
