AirFlex® TRIO Junior
(Integrated Cell)

3 Cell-Cycle Alternating Pressure Paediatric Mattress Replacement System

Airflex Trio junior is an innovative, cost effective 3 cell-cycle alternating pressure air mattress specifically designed for children.

The mattress features advanced solenoid technology to facilitate the rapid redirection of airflow that enables the regular and effective off-loading of interface pressure on vulnerable tissue. Small diameter cells specifically programmed to paediatric pressure settings, provide higher efficacy and greater patient comfort in the paediatric environment. Advanced engineering has created a dynamic
support surface that is therapeutic for paediatric patients weighing from 0-60kg.

The three cell-cycle, with cell-in-cell technology, provides superior comfort for paediatric use. The stepdown mode provides added comfort for small/light weight patients.

The Airflex TRIO junior allows for the regular and effective relief of interface pressure beneath the bony prominences. At all times the individual is supported by 50% more cells than found in traditional 2:1 cellcycle alternating mattresses. This provides a material improvement in comfort and care to children of all ages.

AirFlex® TRIO Junior is part of the new innovative range of mattress solutions designed to fulfill the paediatric requirements of ‘affordable healthcare.’

Patient Safety and Comfort

  • 3 cell cycle alternation with a 15 minute cycle time provides regular relief of interface pressure
  • Wide diameter tubing enables rapid air-cell deflation 4 times per hour which stimulates reactive hyperaemia in the deep tissues surrounding the vulnerable bony prominences
  • Cell-in-cell technology improves patient comfort and safety by providing a permanently inflated base portion beneath the active alternating component of the cell
  • Fully automatic adjustment to patient weight and body position
  • Dual comfort settings available within both Static and Dynamic modes
  • Step-down mode improves comfort for small/light weight paediatric
    patients without compromising pressure relief
  • Static mode provides a firm and stable surface for essential nursing procedures such as physiotherapy, wound dressing and changing bed linen
  • Transport mode ensures the mattress remains inflated for 8 hours in the event of a mains power failure
  • V-Lock system prevents accidental disconnection of the power cord

Additional Nursing Support

  • Audible and visual alarms provide peace of mind for nursing staff
  • Rapid deflation for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Static mode defaults to alternating after 30 minutes
  • Unique single ‘multi-action’ CPR connector
  • Simple to use user interface/control panel

Maximise Infection Control

  • Waterproof, vapour permeable, Dartex® covers provide microclimate control at the skin/mattress interface
  • Soft, easy to clean cover contains an antimicrobial agent that can withstand high temperature washing
  • Welded seams prevent the ingress of fluids into the mattress
  • 360° zip ensures cover can be easily removed for infection control and laundering
  • Generous waterfall flap protects the zip
