Pressure ulcer mattress specialist Rober is proud to be joining the Made in Britain Network.
Being a British designer and manufacturer of ‘zero pressure’ mattresses has lots of advantages. Most importantly it means we control the lifecycle of all our products. We can ensure that each one of our mattresses that leaves the Rober head office in Chesterfield is made to the highest quality. The result is that our customers receive skilfully manufactured pressure relief mattresses that have been built to last.
Being UK-based also means we can offer flexibility and even create bespoke designs to meet individual requirements. A local, skilled workforce gives us the ability to bring our customers’ visions to life.
In celebration of our UK manufacturing roots, Rober is honoured to join the Made in Britain network. This prestigious not for profit organisation aims to help Britain’s manufacturers sell more at home and around the world.
Going forward, we will display the prestigious Made in Britain badge with pride, celebrating all that is GREAT about UK manufacturing.
Made in Britain is the UK’s only member-funded organisation, offering all British manufacturers a simple country of origin mark to apply to products, packaging, on line and in print. Its aim is to help consumers to make confident, informed choices. The scheme aims to encourage consumers and trade buyers to purchase British-made products.
The network is the only platform that can bring together manufacturers in all fields. It enables members to share their experiences and learn together how to improve their product sales.
John Pearce, CEO of Made in Britain said: “I’m delighted to welcome Rober into the Made in Britain network. We now have more than 900 British manufacturers, and Rober is joining a thriving health products sector.”
“Made in Britain’s strategy is to become the universal and preferred British-made products procurement hub. It is vital that businesses such as Rober are represented and active within the manufacturing network. We hope companies like them will inspire other innovative SMEs to make their products much closer to home.”
Evidence suggests pressure ulcers can be avoided by taking precautions such as using dedicated dynamic support mattresses in the “at risk” population. Rober is playing its part, offering a range of products to suit economic conditions across all global markets.
