UK-based Rober has announced they will unveil a second pressure ulcer mattress system at Arab Health 2015, the largest healthcare exhibition in the Middle East.
As well as launching the pioneering Airflex® Trio, the pressure ulcer specialist will also be presenting AirCaire® Duo to the congress, an advanced two cell cycle overlay mattress that combines state-of-the-art pressure control technology.
The innovative mattress provides enhanced comfort and complete pressure elimination at regular intervals. It has integrated sides to aid patient safety and has variable pressure options to cater for patients of all sizes up to 180kg. It also has an inbuilt Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) valve, which provides quick deflation in the case of an emergency.
The easy-to-use, cost-effective ® Duo mattress system has been designed to offer maximum flexibility to patients who are at risk of pressure damage. It is an effective and proven solution in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers and is ideal for hospital and home care environments.
AirCaire® Duo has been designed in conjunction with a range of healthcare professionals who understand the importance and the pressure relieving qualities of a dynamic airflow mattress.
Rober are leaders in the development and manufacture of pressure ulcer prevention and therapy product ranges and this new pioneering technology compliments their existing portfolio of products. The Airflex® Trio and the AirCaire® Duo are the first of a new generation of mattresses to be launched, which through innovated design fulfils the requirement in the market for ‘affordable healthcare’.
Mike Hutson, Chief Executive of Rober, said: “We have had such a positive reaction since we announced we would unveil the Airflex® Trio mattress at Arab Health that we decided to also launch the AirCaire Duo in the region as well.”
“Pressure ulcers dramatically increase the cost of each patient’s care bill and are also linked to prolonged hospitalisation, pain, social isolation and in worst cases, death. Our mattresses are the perfect solution to this and have the potential to prevent thousands of patients across the Middle East from getting pressure ulcers as they are cared for in hospital.”
Arab Health will take place between the 26 – 29th January 2015 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre. Rober will be located at Stand Z1C18 in the Zabeel Hall.
